I think Dubledore knew Snape made the unbreakable vow and told Snape to kill him, that's what they were argueing about when Hagrid overheard them.

Oh yeah... it's been a while since I've read HBP so I don't always remember stuff like that. But I do remember that clearly and you're probably right. Unless anyone else can think of another theory?
